In Prague

One of the benefits of the cold lingering around Prague is that part of the Vltava is actually frozen over! In one special place you can take a quiet moment on the frozen water to enjoy our beautiful city. Hardly anyone knows about this hidden gem but it is absolutely magical. This weekend there were several small groups of people happily pottering about about on the ice, skating, playing hockey, and going for a walk. If you do want to check it out, be responsible for your own safety and make sure that the ice is still solid. Take the tram to Libeňský most then make your way here. There is a small car park on the grass and from there go down towards the riverbank then hook left to a little pontoon frozen in the water. This is not an easy one to find but definitely worth it!
